My 7 year old male dachshund had back surgery for herniated discs; unfortunately, his back legs were completely paralyzed post op. Casey's surgeon, Dr. Jim Cook of SCAN, recommended immediate rehab therapy with TB K-9 Rehab Center. Dr. Brown saw Casey a few days later and said he believed Casey would be walking in 2 weeks! He was WRONG! Happily, Casey started walking a week later!
All the staff, with NO exceptions, are loving, accepting and supportive. They CLEARLY, took outstanding care of my Casey and we are so happy to have our little boy, almost back to normal, thanks to their efforts, protocols, equipment, and team work!!!!
My husband(his Daddy), my other dachshund, Marbles (his doggie wife) and me, the Mommy are so grateful to everyone at the K9 Rehab Center.
If your baby suffers an injury, requiring Rehab, this is where you want your baby to be, without any further thought!
Thanks to all of you; you are a GREAT TEAM!

I can not say enough good things about this place! I began taking my dog Rocky aka “Rockstar” here for rehab as he had a spinal injury and was essentially paralyzed but still had deep pain sensation. I had a consult with Dr Brown who was great, I like that he is direct and gives you realistic expectations, takes his time to thoroughly look over all the records and takes the time to answer all your questions, I never felt he was in a hurry or rushing me out, he really knows his stuff. After the consult I met Alex who is Rocky’s therapist, this girl is amazing, I have never seen anyone love what they do and love each animal like they are her own, she puts so much effort into each session and my dog LOVES her. Best part is that Rocky is making really great progress, he went from not being able to move his back legs at all to actually being able to start walking, he still has a long road to recover, but actually seeing my dog stand on his own and take multiple steps at a time on his own, and develop muscle and strength is so incredible to watch. Everyone from the front desk to the doctors really love your dog, and greet them like family when they come in. I am so glad I found this place!

I cannot express how happy I am with Tampa Bay K-9 Rehab. My Lakeland Terrier, Reba, had been off and on limping on her rear leg for months. Finally, we took her to see Dr. Brown. He examined her, observed her walking, did several physical exam tests to determine if she had torn her ACL as well as took X-rays to confirm his suspicions. By the end of our visit, he had confirmed that she had torn her ACL and needed surgery to repair it. He was very thorough in his explanation of what her condition was, why it would not resolve on it's own, what a tightrope surgery would entail and what we should expect regarding the aftercare and rehab. We scheduled the tightrope surgery for the following week. The staff was great and provided us with an estimate before we left. She had the surgery the following week and stayed overnight for observations. We picked her up the next day and Sarah (one of the wonderful veterinary technicians) spent time with us explaining the aftercare that we needed to do at home, from icing to daily range of motion exercises. Several weeks later, Reba began going back for physical therapy, which included moist heat packs, laser therapy, going over ramps and caveleti rails, and finally using the underwater treadmill. We would also get a detailed report of her physical therapy after every session. Additional exercises were introduced for us to do at home and we were thoroughly instructed on how to do those. I cannot thank Dr. Brown and his staff for all of their care. They were very compassionate and patient with all of my questions. Reba got excited every time we went for rehab, so I knew she loved the staff. Reba is doing well now. She completed her rehab sessions last week and Dr. Brown is having us continue exercises at home until she is at 100%. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brown and his staff for orthopedic surgery, stem cell therapy, or just rehab if your pet has had surgery elsewhere.

Dr. Brown was the second specialist that I have consulted for my dog. My Maddie is a boxer mix with a partial CCL tear. To say that I am overprotective is an understatement. I'm borderline insane about my dog. From the beginning, the office staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Dr. Brown appears to be a very busy Doctor. However, he spent nearly an hour with me. He answered all of my questions, used diagrams/models of knees, and spoke openly and honestly about Maddie needing surgery. He spoke to me about each surgical option at length. He seems to be incredibly knowledgeable. Following our visit, I sent Dr. Brown and his staff an email that contained over 20 detailed questions regarding her surgery. I knew it would take awhile for him to get back to me. However, his staff quickly emailed me and communicated that it would only be a day or so until I receive a full reply. They communicated very well. Dr. Brown thoroughly answered all of my email questions in detail. I would trust Maddie's care to him any day. Dr. Brown is truly a caring Doctor. He went above and beyond for me/Maddie. The staff was so patient with me. Also, the estimate for Maddie's surgery was reasonable. I would spend thousands on this dog without blinking an eye, but I appreciated the savings nonetheless. I would highly recommend this veterinary hospital.

Tampa Bay K-9 is great. I have taken my Golden Retriever their twice for therapy after a torn CCL. He loves going there for therapy and his recovery has been so much easier and faster because of it. The staff is awesome! I would recommend it highly.

Alex and Sarah have worked miracles on our doberman, Gunnar, after he had cervical spine surgery and was having trouble getting up and walking. We saw marked improvement each week, and I'm happy to say he can walk again on his own! Plus, they took such great care of him and gave him lots of love!

The staff is amazing. Our little Abbie loves going for rehab. She refused to use her leg after surgery and they have done a great job getting her to use it again. I was a skeptic at first, but not anymore. Rehab for dogs really works.
