Hello, my name is Jen, and I am the owner and founder of Lakewood Ranch Pet Care. As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner, I have always had a passion for taking care of animals. Before moving to Florida in 2019, I was heavily involved in a foster-based dog rescue in Ohio. When we relocated to Florida, I decided to pursue my passion and turn it into a career.
I started by pet sitting for a local company and through app-based services, where I gained valuable experience in caring for pets of all kinds. Eventually, I realized that I wanted to provide a higher level of care to pets in my community, which is why I decided to open my own business - Lakewood Ranch Pet Care. My ultimate goal is to provide the highest quality of care for your pets, and to treat them with the love and respect that they deserve.

Having a team of sitters introduced to pets is important for a pet sitting company for several reasons. First, it increases availability as there are more sitters available to take on jobs and provide care to pets. Additionally, with a team in place, it allows for flexibility in scheduling and provides coverage in case of illness or other unexpected situations. I utilize scientifically sound, reward-based methods that positively influence not only the animal's behavior, but also their underlying emotional state. The rewards I provide can come in the form of treats or high-value toy play, so please let us know of any food allergies or intolerances your pet may have.
