I recently had to make an emergency visit to Suncoast. The staff here were wonderful and took such loving care of my precious fur baby. She is now on the road to recovery and I just wanted to say a great big thank you to Dr. Bean and his veterinary technicians. They were professional and compassionate. I also want to thank the receptionist Digna who kept me calm while I was waiting and showed me so much concern and thoughtfulness. I am so very grateful.

I had to bring our cat to the ER last Wednesday. Every single person there was friendly, caring, compassionate and helpful. Dr. Stickland (sp?) answered all my questions and calmed my fears. The tests were thoroughly explained, as well as the billing. The doctored monitored my Bailey throughout the night. I even got a refund when my deposit was not completely used.

Thank you to everyone at Suncoast. You made a difficult day much better for both of us!!

Sarasota is lucky to have such an amazing animal hospital! I can’t say enough good things about Suncoast. I was here visiting when my cat got an intestinal blockage. She ended up needing surgery and I’m so happy she ended up here. The entire team was knowledgeable, patient, efficient, and took such good care of my girl. They called to update me regularly and answered all of my questions day and night following her procedure (shoutout to Karen and Tammy!). Pet emergencies are so scary but Suncoast made it as positive of an experience as it could be. If you’re ever in need, do not hesitate to use this incredible facility!

Jackie and the team at Suncoast were thoughtful and caring for our sick dog who had a blockage in his intestines. Jackie specifically went above and beyond for our dog. You can absolutely tell she is there for the animals and LOVES what she’s does. KUDDOS 🥹🫶🏼 From the time we walked in the door until we discharged she was amazing.

My only concern on not leaving 5 stars was cost.. what this clinic charges for 12 hours was insane compared too what his actual surgery was at our primary vet the following day. They had our dog for a total of 16 hours (over two days) and the cost was a fraction.

Blue Pearl is our go to emergency hospital, but a bit far from our home. We tried calling this location to gather information on their services and the receptionist was far from empathetic and helpful. The tone used to answer our questions and the lack of willingness to go the extra mile to provide us information were all we needed to experience to not step foot in this establishment.

We recently had to take our tiny toy poodle (Margarita) here because she fell and hit her head. The facility was recommend by our vet. Our primary vet was able to stabilize her so we drove her here for emergency care. They were very kind and compassionate and took excellent care of her. Dr. Smith came out to the waiting room and explained everything to us. Margarita spent the night and the next day we were able to take her home for the recovery process with a referral to see a neurologist they recommended. The notes they gave us were very detailed which was a big help. They had lots of snacks available there in the waiting room to get us through while we waited. That was a nice and thoughtful touch. After Margarita came home, we had various follow-up questions so would call periodically and they answered those as well. We were extremely pleased with the care Margarita received and are very grateful to them.

I can't say enough about this place. My Golden Retriever had to have emergency surgery in the early hours of the morning on a Tuesday and was in the hospital for about 10 days after. Even during an incredibly scary time, I felt so much peace about his care. The staff are so compassionate and understanding. They truly care about your pet and treat them as their own. They updated me regularly, answered all of my questions attentively, and gave me thorough discharge instructions when it was finally time to take him home. I knew he was getting the best possible care and the whole time I was nothing short of impressed. They saved my dog's life and gave us so many more years with him. I am forever grateful and can give nothing but high recommendations.

Had a great experience this weekend at Suncoast Vet Specialty Center. Dr. Bean was professional, compassionate and efficient. He was very gentle with my dog and although I got bad news he delivered it in the kindest way. I especially like that he got down on his knee to say goodbye to my dog when we left.
