I grew up in Sarasota and I remember 35 years ago going to the Stockyard and buying 50lbs bags dog, cat, rabbit and bird food. Was recently looking for a hat and went back. Place is fantastic! Loved being back in there and kicking myself for not getting in there sooner.

Had no intention of buying boots, but found a great pair on sale at a great price. Really enjoyed a great time talking with the staff. It’s been 4 weeks and it’s the best pair of boots I’ve ever owned. Can’t wait to go back!

I have hay delivered from Stockyard Sarasota to me in Venice. This is the feed store to buy from if you want excellent communication and customer service! They go above and beyond any other. The hay is delivered promptly and is consistent in quality. I'm always a satisfied customer.

I go here for my chicken feed, pretty simple, order and pay inside and show the guys in the warehouse the ticket and they take it straight to my truck. My only issue is that some of the employees just don't seem that warm it welcoming. Sometimes it's just a, "Hi, what do you need?" No, "Hi, welcome, do you need any help or do you know what you'd like? Ask me any questions you have and I'd be glad to answer them for you!" On the beginning of my journey with chickens, the latter would have been much more appealing and helpful to a newcomer, shoot, I didn't really know what I needed! But anyway, I still see quality here and friendly faces despite the lack of welcoming words at times. I would gladly recommend coming here.

Great place for western apparel shopping. The place had a ton of neat belt buckles and shirts. I do wish the had a wider variety of hats! I found two I liked, but they didn’t have the size I needed. The associate was a tad bit unapproachable. She gave me a (bad) funny look as I asked her for advice.

We only have small household pets however, they had everything we needed! Everyone was very pleasant and knowledgeable. And the bird inside is adorable!

Forgot my boots on the way to the bull called in to see if I could swing in and was 10 minutes after close. They allowed me to shop but not without some snide comments. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the one young lady who assisted me (forgot her name but I remember she had a 1 year old) was great, very knowledgeable, courteous and above all never made me feel as though my presence was an imposition. She gets 5 stars!

This place is great. I buy my straw and rabbit/Guinea pig food here. Very inexpensive. A friend says the clothing is overpriced. My biggest complaint is that the women who work at counter are somewhat rude. It’s very off putting. Every time I come in, they are rude so it’s not a one time thing. Being as everything is online now, it’s nice to deal w/an actual person once in awhile, not these ladies though. They both act like having to wait on you is a huge inconvenience to their day.

I was the ONLY customer & no one could speak to me. I have rodeoed my entire life & was excited to find this store while on vacation, but I guess wearing my boots with my shorts isn't western enough to be treated like a customer.
