I have been taking my cat Joe to Westbay since he was a 3 month old kitten. He's now almost 14 years old and in good health. I attribute a lot of this to the care he has received from Dr.Mary Smart. She is unfailingly patient, gentle and willing to answer questions that I might have. Other vets that we have seen there have also been very professional. The techs and support staff add a lot to the ease of the visits which otherwise might not be the case with my rather strong-willed orange boy.
The facilities are always clean and the separate cat and dog entrances are an extra nice feature.

I have had 2 furry children at Westbay Animal Hospital. When our first furry child had cancer and had to be put down, I believe that along with my family, the vet cried too. I not only bring my furry babies here for check ups, sickness, etc., I also board here. The doctors, techs and office workers are the BEST! When I go on vacation I know that my baby is well taken care of! Even at Christmas time! It is such a comfort to know that if anything happens, her doctor is right there to take care of her! All the spas in the world wouldn't tempt me from going here, I would never go anywhere else!

You guys went above and beyond my expectations to take care of my dog. I am so happy to have found such a caring team who truly love what they do. It shows from the service at the front desk to the service when you meet with the vet. They definitely go out of their way to make your pet and you feel comfortable. We have a very protective dog who always needs to be sedated before our previous vet could see him. I have never seen him act so well and allow the doctor to check him the way she did and also be able to draw blood and he was NOT sedated. We are truly blessed to have found you all. I can't thank you enough for being there for us. Thank you so much!

The customer service upon walk-in was wonderful. The vet and tech spent an hour with me and my baby. What a thorough exam, never had a pet that was given such care. Dr. Adams was well versed with the chihuahua breed and treated my pup with kindness and love. She was gentle, as was the vet tech. I am so glad that Suki and I found a new home for her care. OUTSTANDING.

I rescued my dog from Bishop 6 years ago. I was given a free exam for him at Westbay Animal Hospital as they are the one's that look after the pets at the SPCA.
I was very pleased with the Dr's and the staff but after a few visits I wanted someplace closer as I live in Ellenton, FL. I tried a couple vets closer and was not as pleased. I decided to go back to Westbay.
I found their prices more reasonable and the care was excellent. I like all the Dr's, they truly love what they do and it shows in the care they give. Some places I got the feeling it was all about the money rather than the animal. I do not feel that at Westbay Animal Hospital!

My first visit here with one of my cats was with Dr. Adams. She is very patient and kind, taking the time to let my cat adjust to her surroundings before the exam. She made sure that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. What a great experience from the very first phone call with James, who patiently answered all of my questions, to the actual appointment. Everyone on staff that I encountered was professional and friendly.

We brought our new puppy to see Dr. Smart and couldn't be more pleased. Both she and Ashley spent lots of time answering all of our questions and were so very kind, as well as professional and competent. We left there knowing without a doubt we found the right vet for the new addition to our family! Even though the whole experience was socially distanced due to the pandemic it was easy to tell these were warm and caring people who love their work and their four-legged patients!

Dr. Smart of Westbay was our vet for our 4 cats years ago when we lived locally. 15 years later, while on vacation in Bradenton, our 6 month old puppy came up lame. We were given a next day appointment during which we received top notch care. The receptionist, vet tech and Dr. Smart were all wonderful to deal with. Our pup, who can be a handful, received princely care. We highly recommend this practice as a first class place to bring your pet.
