Kevin and Coreena did a great job training my lab mix puppy. He was a counter surfer at 5 months old and needed some basic training, but I was unable to do it at the level I wanted due to time constraints. Coreena was able to accommodate my last minute need for her board and train program and I have gotten a well-mannered puppy in return. It was worth every penny! Kevin was very communicative and you can tell he really cares about the dogs. They stand by their training for the lifetime of your dog and their commitment to that guarantee shows. The quick review: 10/10, Rob & Jess are incredible - their connections with dogs and humans is next level. We went from a frustrated rescue who we couldn’t communicate with, to a happy, healthy pup who can communicate with us & us with them - life is 180 degree turn & we wouldn’t be here without Rob & Jess - their guidance, patience, persistence, consistency, passion and love for their craft - Rob & Jess are genuinely amazing trainers & wonderful people on top of it. No force, no harsh methods, all training to get our pup to make good decisions & to train us as pet parents to help guide and communicate effectively.

The longer & more through review:

As a dog lover & someone who has had mixed breeds and pure breed dogs from puppy to senior life stages - I honestly thought there is no way I would ever need a trainer. I also thought the costs for training seemed way more than what it’s worth - I could not have been more wrong about either of those ideas that I had.

My last two pups have been rescues & this particular one had been handed a really rough start - abandoned, taken from their litter and their mom way too young, they had no social queues from their littermates or their mom to go off of, which meant I had no social queues to go off of & I had never had to instill them in an 8-10 week old puppy.

Our puppy wouldn’t wear a collar, a leash, it wouldn’t go outside in the yard - if they did all they did was want to eat rocks and any other number of unsafe objects outdoors.

We lost our senior pup to Hemangiosarcoma at 12 years old & he was the best version of all the versions of himself - and going from our soul dog to a new puppy that we just couldn’t connect with was, without training, impossible. I was on Google, YouTube, Instagram etc trying to find ways to communicate with our puppy, but I failed and I failed miserably.

Where we succeeded was finding Revive K-9, and most importantly being paired up with Rob & Jess.

From our first introductory phone call with them to our first session at our home, we knew this was the right call. Our puppy wouldn’t wear a collar let alone a leash - we tried target spoons full of peanut butter to walk, we tried different leashes etc. it was brutal and we were all frustrated with each other. Within our first few sessions with Rob & Jess, our puppy was wearing a collar, a leash, leash walking, and exploring. We went from not wanting to be in a crate to sleeping in his crate within 5-10 minutes for hours on end (up to 3.5 hours of straight naps in the crate) and even going there on their own when they were timid or afraid of a noise - we went from nighttime terrors to a sleepy puppy who was almost always ready to go to bed in 10 minutes or less. He was afraid of cars, kids, airplanes, etc. and would dart inside at a single source of a sound. After two weeks of training, our pup has really good obedience, he has really good recall & most importantly we all are no longer frustrated with each other (pup and companions) - we communicate, we have expectations that we all deliver on & our life has taken a total 180 since Rob & Jess have taken us on as clients - honestly, our sessions are more like our friends are over and they’re teaching our puppy while also training us - doing reps to make sure we know what we are doing when Rob & Jess aren’t there.

Rob & Jess are worth every penny, ten fold - the best money we may have ever spent in our lifetime - my only regret was not having their number on day 1 of rescuing our pup. Rob & Jess are kind, compassionate, empathetic, intelligent - intellectually connecting with the pup and the humans - I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. I know it’s expensive, but vet visits for accidents, eating things they shouldn’t, incorrect engagements with other animals etc. can lead to much larger costs than what we invested with Rob & Jess. I highly recommend Rob & Jess, 10/10.
