The staff here are always willing to help you find whatever you need. They are fun, funny and interact with the customers. Great job and I keep coming to this location because of the great service you provide. Kudos for always going above and beyond my expectations without my having to ask.

I usually find what I need. The current manager at the North Dale Mabry store by the stadium is awesome. Great customer service.

Staff is always very helpful and friendly with my dog. They even gave her extra treats!!
This is my favorite location out of the two that are in Tampa. I wish they had the dog bath stalls!

The store manager here is wonderful and truly cares about the animals. I come here once a week to get crickets for my bearded dragon, and they are always super helpful. They have a much better price for crickets than Petsmart. Their fish selection is quite big and they carry more exotic fish than most petsupermarkets.

I usually go to Petsmart by Target which is located around a half mile south of this Petco location. But in a pinch, I’ve come to this location several times. Today, I needed a dog bone, a dog toy, and some crickets. I didn’t need many crickets, just some to get me through the week as I use Pinellas County Reptiles for our reptile needs. This Petco is out of reptile insects more often than not, but today, I checked where the crickets are kept and they did have some, but they weren't fully stocked by any means. I asked the associate if he could assist me with some crickets and he told me they had none. I said that I had already checked and they did have some and I didn't need that many. He said he could "maybe" do a dozen small but he had no large (they did, not tons, but enough for what I needed). After acting as if he could not sell me any, I asked just that: "so you are refusing to sell me any crickets?" He affirmed, saying that their reptiles needed them, while also adding they'd get more tomorrow. I left the items I had planned on purchasing (would've totaled around $40 before crickets). The fact that he refused to sell me crickets because their reptiles needed them yet they'd get a shipment the next day shows me that the customer's needs come second. As a reptile owner, I know reptiles are hearty enough to miss one meal. I guess that meal was worth losing a sale and a repeat customer.
Petsmart is mere blocks away and I recommend driving the 1 minute to make sure you get what you need.
