Wonderful grooming salon! They really care about your dog. The receptionist is so nice & told me they give the dogs spring water to drink while they're there. They've been in business for 17 years. And they did a fantastic job with a blow out for our beautiful, male Goberian (golden retriever & husky). We highly recommend this business!

I learned of Metro Salon from one of their many happy clients several years ago as I was having concerns about my previous groomer. What a drastic change once I switched to Metro. My dogs actually look forward to going there. They are an exceptionally caring group and they take the time to know all of us by name and our pets names! Kudos to them as they have quite a loyal following of satisfied customers! If you are not already a customer you should give them a try!

My husband and I had taken our dog to Metro a couple of times so far,they did a wonderful job grooming him! He’s an elderly dog,...he has elderly issues,they were great with him,he’s our baby. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with him,...can’t say enough about Metro ❤️❤️❤️

We stopped in to this location when we first moved down here in June and were blown away by how nice and accommodating they were. We told them that we had a Czech Shepherd and they shared with us just how much they love big dogs, especially shepherds. The groomer came out and explained how they would take care of the shedding for us. We were sold!

We bring the dog in for the scheduled visit and everything seemed great.
We get home and she was still shedding like crazy all over the floor. We also observed that she had some blood trickling on her paw which led to an abscess and subsequent vet visit within two days. Fine, we understand sometimes these things happen when trimming nails.

It was when we arrived at the vet and a groomer happened to be standing by the check-in is what is leading to this review. The groomer said we should consider getting the dog groomed and our response was that we just had it done within the last two days. She comes around the desk, runs her hand up the dogs back and pulls out a clump of fur and says “by whom?” She stated that whoever did this didn’t do anything at all. No fur-minator, no trimming, just a comb, if that.

What made us more than a bit angry was the bill of goods we were sold on how much they love shepherds and the amount of money they charged. If they had been honest about not doing anything, it would have been fine. Maybe the groomer was intimidated by the dog and I would have understood that. The whole thing left a bad taste in our mouths and it’s not meant to bash the business because I think they were very nice people. Some honesty would have gone a long way. So if you have a shepherd, I would look elsewhere.

Absolutely love Metro Pet Salon. They are super protective our the furry clients and have strick rules in place so that nervous pups like mine do not get spooked by other clients' human family members. Also I love their catchphrases that they teach the pups. I use them all the time when I have to bath or brush out my lil' guy. I wish that there were more groomers out there who understand animal behavior and educated clients on the importance of proper grooming care.

I have been taking my miniature poodles to Amanda and John for many years. This is a 1st-Class operation. Perfect cuts, even the feet. Other businesses in the Rosemary District come and go while Metro continues to provide awesome service at the same location for 20 (?) years. Yeah, I like them.
